Director, Global Demand Planning, Easton, PA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Oversees the full corporate demand planning process in support of Crayola's global business, guiding Supply Chain purchasing and production decisions while ensuring visibility into financial revenue expectations. This role serves as a vital connection between International and Domestic customer demand and the internal functions of Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations. It delivers accurate, actionable demand plans that strengthen responsiveness, support business growth, optimize Crayola's resources, and establish the foundation for revenue and inventory forecasting.

The position also leads the development and execution of S&OP processes, including organizing and managing monthly S&OP meetings with Executive Leadership. Additionally, it directs and supports managers responsible for Collaborative Forecasting, Planning, and Replenishment across key U.S. accounts, enhancing account performance through direct engagement when needed and partnering with Sales leaders to ensure effective allocation of resources.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Planning & Forecast Management



  • Maintains and oversees an 18month rolling baseline forecast and a 12month promotional forecast for U.S. businesses at both the item and keycustomer levels.
  • Highlights, researches, challenges, and validates major swings in forecasted volume across customers, segments, and items to ensure planning accuracy, maximize revenue, and minimize inventory exposure.
  • Provides regular reporting to Senior Management and Executive Leadership on projected revenues and forecast adjustments to ensure visibility into changing business dynamics.
  • Sets standard work for U.S. forecasting, including statistical model timing, model options, process deviations, and required tracking documentation.
  • Owns forecasting and capacityplanning processes for new product launches, ensuring data integrity and centralized visibility across all markets and stakeholders.


S&OP Leadership & Process Ownership



  • Manages the full S&OP calendar and processes, including demandplan integration points, accuracy metrics, technical issue resolution, and placeholder governance.
  • Schedules, prepares agendas for, and facilitates monthly Executivelevel S&OP meetings to drive alignment and key decisionmaking.
  • Responsible for the integrity and performance of the IBP forecasting system, partnering with IS to resolve functional issues.
  • Establishes S&OP meetings with International Business Units (LATAM, EMEA, UK, Australia, Asia) to review forecasts, track accuracy, and discuss business trends.



    CrossFunctional & Operational Collaboration



    • Maintains active, transparent communication with Supply Chain to ensure responsiveness to forecast changes that may impact inventory or revenue.
    • Represents internal operations to the Sales organization, maintaining strong relationships with Supply Chain, Customer Care, and Logistics to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Manages the weekly allocation process for U.S. customers and international partners for constrained or limitedavailability SKUs, ensuring strategic product flow and strong customer relationships.


    International Forecasting & Global Alignment



    • Partners with UK, EMEA, Canada, Australia, Mexico & Asia subsidiaries to ensure accurate transmission of forecasted needs into SAP, including finishedgoods and componentkitting requirements.
    • Develops reporting that provides visibility into international forecasts at both the market and item/segment levels, enabling a comprehensive global demand view for Leadership.


    Team Leadership & Account Support



    • Leads and develops demand planners, defining standard responsibilities and accountspecific functions while partnering with Sales leadership to optimize ROI and resource allocation.
    • Serves as the forecasting and operations SME for key accounts, directly interfacing with customer counterparts to advance Crayola's interests and maintain strong business relationships.


    JOB SPECIFICATIONS:



    • B.S. degree in business and/or analytical discipline required.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills: particularly Excel and PowerPoint required.
    • Minimum 10 years' experience within the Consumer Products Industry; management level forecasting or analytical capacity preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience with leading retail replenishment and forecasting functions.
    • Solid analytical skills required.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a constantly changing environment is key.
    • Knowledge of key accounts forecasting system highly desirable.
