How can you make an impact?

We are seeking an Associate Academic Designer with expertise in editing and adapting 6-12 Social Studies content to align with state and district standards. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality print and digital instructional materials, requiring strong organization, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of December 31st, 2026.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize social studies programs aligned to state standards, supported by research, standards analysis, and gap documentation.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality print and digital content that meets curriculum requirements and maintains appropriate reading level, grammar, and style.
  • Research, interpret, and correlate state standards to existing programs to inform development decisions and ensure alignment.
  • Follow established workflows throughout all stages of product development while tracking progress and maintaining documentation.
  • Manage schedules, communicate project status, and work collaboratively to meet deadlines, resolve issues, and deliver required outcomes.

What you can bring to this role:

  • 2+ years of product development experience, preferably focused on instructional or educational materials.
  • Strong understanding of grades 6-12 social studies content, pedagogy, and state standards.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple projects and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a strong command of English grammar and style, paired with effective organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with digital learning and publishing tools such as MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, digital authoring platforms, and content management systems; K-12 classroom experience strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position is between $45,000 - $57,000 annually. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
