What You Will Do:

What you'll be challenged to do:

During your internship,you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship byexperienced engineers and professionalswith your success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Collaborate on real-world railway and transit projects, assisting in design and development.
  • Support engineers in understanding project requirements and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Perform engineering calculations for railway and transit system design and analysis.
  • Assist in designing railway system layouts and coordinating with multiple disciplines.
  • Participate in field surveys and contribute to project documentation, including technical drawings and reports.
Education | Experience:

What you'll bring to our firm:

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program, pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree. Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Demonstrated interest in transit and railway engineering through prior internship or applied coursework experience.
  • Proficient in data analysis and possess strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What we prefer you bring:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Rail Track.
  • Familiarity with railway and transit engineering principles and practices.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $21.00 - $28.00. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
