Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin's commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Position Overview
The Associate Director, Enzyme Therapies- LSDswill serve as a pivotal leader in shaping and executing market research and analytics initiatives that directly inform business strategy and decision-making. This role will drive the design, execution, and management of both in-line and life cycle management (LCM) projects, transforming complex data into actionable insights that set priorities and guide organizational solutions.
A key focus will be leading insights and analytics for the LSD franchise, with theobjectiveof strengthening thenew commercialmodel, elevating global brand performance, and enhancing organizational capabilities. The successful candidate will bring deepexpertisein both primary and secondary market research,leveragingcustomer insights, and market dynamics to deliver strategic recommendations that advance patient impact and business outcomes.
This rolewill formally report to theGlobalHeadof BI&Awithin Business Operations & Strategy. In practice, the role will work in close partnership with theDirector ofInsights & Analytics Enzyme Therapieson adaytodaybasis to ensure alignment withBUpriorities and execution excellence. This structure provides both visibility at the enterprise level and direct engagement with the therapeuticarealeadership, enabling the Associate Director to influence strategy while driving operational impact.
Key Responsibilities
  • Acts as strategic partner toLSDteam members, workingclosely withBU and Brand Team Leads,Market Access Leads, Global Medical Leads, anddirectmarkets to frame, investigate, translate key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of brand/assetstrategies andtactics(in-line and LCM), helping theteam prioritize their focus and resources based on the needs of the program
  • Designs and delivers qualitative and quantitative market research projects(e.g., opportunity assessments, market landscape / patient journey, demand,strategic tracking, etc.) and analyticsto deliver high quality, actionable business insights that support data-informed decisions; sometimes playing a consultative and integrating role forlocally-ledprojects
  • Leads the Integrated Insights Team for LSDs,maintainsthe Integrated Insights Plan,synthesizesinsightsintegrationfrom cross-functional teams (e.g.CI, PAVE, advocacy, etc.)anddevelops, tracksand reportsKPIs/metricstocatalyzeaction on insightsanddrive performance
  • Providescontext and insights to support preparations for governancedecisions,leadership reports, business reviews, earnings narratives, etc.
  • Drives for an efficient and effective workplan;establishinga cohesiveinsightsand analyticsplan and calendar acrossmarkets andcross-functional partners
  • Maintainsknowledge management library, holistic of allinsightsgenerationactivities across enterprise
  • Deliversobjective, insight driven guidance by pairing rigorous analytics with clear, compelling storytelling to informhigh-qualitydecisions.
  • Ensures teamsremaincurrent on emerging insights and analytics capabilities, evaluating and introducingnew approacheswhen they add strategic value.
  • Leads the team's insights and analytics procurement, contracting, and project execution,maintainingstrong operational discipline and alignment with BI&A best practices andBioMarinpolicies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A passion for improving patient and business outcomes
  • BA/BS in science or businessrequired. MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 7+years experiencein a commercial capability within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or life science or strategy consulting experience, 4+ years in market researchand analytics
  • Experience in understanding brandasset/content, strategy, and tactics
  • Ability to effectivelyutilizedashboards and data products to derive insights
  • Understandsprimary and secondaryresearch methodologieswithexperience managing vendors
  • Proven ability to connect, integrate and synthesize analysis and data into a meaningful 'so what' to drive concrete strategic recommendations for brand tactics. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question
  • Excellent interpersonal skills witha track recordof effectiveness and collaboration as a team player and result-oriented project leader able to develop strong professional relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Self-starter whodemonstratesenergy and enthusiasm, bringing a positive solution-oriented approach to challenges
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

The salary range for this position is: $159,800 to $219,670. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
