We are currently seeking a Maintenance / Facility Technician to join our manufacturing team in Mint Hill. This position exists to perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the organization's manufacturing equipment and overall facility equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and all manufacturing equipment, as well as performing general building upkeep. The technician works independently or as part of a team, responding to work orders, conducting preventative maintenance, assisting with facility/equipment upgrades, renovations, equipment moves, and company events.

Key Responsibilities

* Inspect, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the facility.

* Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing and facility equipment and building systems.

* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff or management relating to manufacturing or facility equipment.

* Conduct general building repairs, including carpentry, painting, drywall, and minor construction.

* Monitor and maintain facility safety systems such as fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting and conduct regular safety drills.

* Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and set-up for events or meetings as needed.

* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company policies through Intelex Systems.

* Order supplies and replacement parts and maintains inventory of maintenance materials.

* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.

* Support facility upgrades, renovations, and special projects as assigned.

* Ensure all critical backup parts for manufacturing equipment are maintained and inventoried.

* Build and maintain relationships with parts and equipment suppliers to ensure prompt service.

* Build strong understanding of manufacturing equipment to diagnose and/or repair as quickly as possible.

* Works closely with manufacturing supervisor and plant manager to ensure manufacturing equipment runs as efficiently as possible.

* Regularly research cutting edge equipment or upgrades and presents to management with ROI data and benefits. Attends manufacturing equipment tradeshows to gain knowledge on industry equipment.

* Maintains facilities grounds by scheduling regular vendors such as pest control, landscaping, waste management, janitorial / cleaning services, drink machines, Cintas/Unifirst, window cleaning, etc...

* Maintains inventory of office supplies such as print cartridges, toner, etc.

* Maintains beverage machine through Coca-Cola and orders supplies as needed.

* Consistently maintains a show ready building inside and out.

* Communicates with all leadership in regard to upcoming events and creates plans to ensure success of events.

* Works closely with IT department to maintain security systems such as cameras and badge locations, office and warehouse equipment such as printers, scanners, phones, etc..

* Works closely with plant manager and safety department to ensure all equipment and processes are up to date and being followed.

* Oversees the operation of the employee lunchroom. Ensures that all food preparation and service conform to established health standards. Maintains all kitchen and janitorial supplies such as sodas, coffee, water, tissues, cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc...

* Administers the new employee orientation program as it relates to: welcome program, parking, uniform distribution, locker rooms, facility space tour, etc..

* Works closely with Verkada for building security issues or calls.

* Remains active, certified Safety Response Team member

* Assist in providing contracted partners with building access during renovations and new construction at facility.

* Supports and implerments all sustainable initiatives that prove beneficial for all Inpro employees.

* Engages in workstation preparation for newly hired & relocated employees.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred.

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in machine maintenance, building systems, or a related field.

* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

* Knowledge of lite manufacturing equipment systems.

* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

* Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors, outdoors, heights).

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.

* Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
