Position Title: Shipping / Receiving Associate
Wage: $20.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm (Mon-Fri) QPS Employment Group has a great Shipping / Receiving Associate position at a company in Loves Park, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with shipping and receiving operations, forklift operation, and familiarity with shipping system software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment and develop your career further. Shipping / Receiving Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Safely operate forklifts, demonstrating previous certification and proficiency to handle materials efficiently. - Accurately process shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying intake paperwork and ensuring correct documentation. - Use shipping system software, such as Netsuite (training provided), to manage shipments, track inventory, and generate reports. - Prepare and package items according to specifications, read measurements and following instructions carefully. - Coordinate with couriers like FedEx and UPS, utilizing their systems to schedule pickups and track shipments. - Troubleshoot and resolve shipping/receiving issues promptly, applying problem-solving skills to maintain smooth operations. - Maintain organized records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and accountability. - Manage critical shipping deadlines that meet shipping expectations. Shipping / Receiving Associate Requirements: - Proven experience in shipping and receiving roles. - Forklift certification and hands-on forklift operating experience. - Proficiency in computer systems, with prior experience using shipping software-experience with Netsuite is a strong plus. - Knowledge of FedEx and UPS shipping systems. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Must have ability to read and interpret measurements and intake paperwork. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment - Must have professional communication and work well with others. - Willingness to cross train. rockfordresumes@qpsemployment.com IND017 About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
