Wieland is hiring a Overhead Crane Operator. The Overhead Crane Operator will be responsible for utilizing the overhead crane and forklift to ensure efficient and on-time production schedules in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role is located in Cuba, Mo and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $22.29 hourly

Schedule: 1st Shift

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Overhead Crane Operator Responsibilities:

Operates Overhead Crane, Forklift and related equipment in accordance with established safety, quality and production standards.

• Supplies crane service to production equipment in a safe efficient manner.

• Maintains safety checks and documentation on a daily basis. Reports all maintenance issues to the Foreman.

• Handles shipments and receivings.

• Maintains data entry for raw material receivings.

• Required to perform other duties as assigned.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are individual responsibilities that each employee must be held accountable for to achieve the Safety Vision for Wieland Fineweld Tube Products.

• Comply with the organization's Health and Safety Policy and all other health and safety practices, programs, and procedures.
• Successfully complete required health and safety and OHSMS training.
• Participate in the OHSMS by reporting incidents or near misses, attending health and safety meetings, reporting problems and recommending improvements, and other related activities.
• Inform a supervisor, foreman, or safety coordinator of any safety hazards or system deficiencies in the workplace.
• Participate in periodic health and safety audits (hazards, risks, and management systems) of work areas/facilities.
• Participate in safety and health improvement efforts.

    • New work reviews
    • Safety inspections
    • JRA creation/updates
    • Accident/mishap investigations
    • Volunteer for various safety and health activities, teams, committees, etc.

Overhead Crane Operator Qualifications:

• Must pass Pre-Employment Exam.

• Must pass the General Forklift Operator Requirements.

• Must Pass the General Crane Operator Requirements.

• Must pass the Structured On the Job Training Requirements.

• Basic computer skills are required.

SCHEDULE/HOURS/OT REQUIREMENTS

• The Overhead Crane Operator position is a full time 40-hr/week position. Mandatory on-shift overtime may be required and mandatory weekend overtime may be scheduled. Shift schedules may change as business levels dictate.
