Position Summary:

The Freight Coordinator plays a key role in directing and coordinating outbound freight activities within Nespresso's Transportation Operations. This position partners closely with 3PL providers, transportation carriers, and crossfunctional teams across the organization to ensure service excellence and achieve company goals.

In this role, you will manage daytoday transportation operations, including shipment coordination, reporting, and performance analysis. You will cultivate strong external relationships with logistics and distribution partners, as well as smallparcel and freight carriers. Internally, you will collaborate with Sales, Quality, Marketing, and other teams to support a seamless and effective transportation process.

Important Note:This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence two days per week to foster collaboration and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outbound Coordination:
    • Facilitate effective communication between various stakeholders, including DC/Logistics, BTQ/Retail Operations, B2B Team, and carriers.
    • Monitor, track, and communicate the progress of shipments to ensure efficient and timely updates.
    • Manage pick-up ETA, delivery updates, and POD requests.
    • Coordinate with carriers for timely and accurate information exchange.
    • Serve as point of escalation and drive issue resolution for freight and small parcel shipments (i.e. pickup miss, driver delay, late delivery).
    • Identify the root cause when targets are not met and implement solutions with cross-functional teams.
    • Arrange FTL/LTL pick-up's for Distribution Center Replenishments and/or miscellaneous freight requests.
    • Manage our Boutique shipment network and ensure shipments are picked up and delivered on time.
    • Support the 3PLs with Transportation related requests ( pickup and delivery issues, network performance and alignment, general shipment inquiries)
    • Provide support to Supply Chain with ad hoc contribution to any projects/initiatives.
    • Manage the carrier network. Must be able to draw conclusions and explain in detail network performance ( identify trends, areas where we can increase/decrease volume, and maximize carrier performance)
    • Identify, suggest, and implement process enhancements to increases efficiency in order to improve network performance, achieve operational goals, and customer satisfaction. Will require collaboration with 3PL's IS/IT team, supply chain, retail, and sales.
  • Reporting & Communication:
    • Conduct meetings and reviews with relevant teams to ensure smooth operations and address any issues or concerns.
    • Troubleshoot and communicate internally to Supply Chain and externally to 3PL about planned and unplanned situations impacting operations.
    • Create, publish, and maintain various reports related to transportation and KPI performance.
    • Analyze data using tools like Power BI and Excel to generate meaningful insights and reports.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data, including tracking information, costs, and in-transit updates.
    • Download and manage carrier reports for analysis and record-keeping purposes.
    • Responsible for reporting on different business unit's lane usage and costs
    • Reporting for Transportation Operational Review (Weekly/Monthly).
    • Prepare reports and analysis for performance/business reviews with carries ( Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly).
    • Extract periodic and ad hoc reports from BI platforms.
    • Update and maintain SOPs
    • Monitor performance metrics and analyzing trends to address issues and make data-driven decisions.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; preferably in Supply Chain OR equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in Supply Chain or Logistics; experience working with 3rdparty warehousing is strongly preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working with smallparcel and freight carriers
  • Proven ability to identify process gaps and implement improvements that elevate customer satisfaction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Excel (Intermediate and Advanced skills required)
  • Proficient with ERP, OMS, and TMS systems
  • Excellent problemsolving abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Power BI experience is highly beneficial
  • Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism
  • Selfstarter with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working under time pressure and managing competing priorities
  • Strong decisionmaking skills
  • Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills

The approximate pay range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00.Please note that thepay rangeprovided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
