Implementation Specialist - Pre-Roll

The Role

The Implementation Specialist -Prerollserves asatechnical expert for all pre-roll manufacturing processes, equipment, and best practices.This role drives process optimization,supports process development, and ensures consistent operational excellence across manufacturing sites through training, documentation, and hands-on support. By partnering closely with production teams, this position resolves technical challenges and elevates performance across the network.

EssentialFunctions

Technical Expertise:



  • Extensive working knowledge onpre-rolls (flower,infused,blunts,coated pre-rolls &ct) manufacturing process and processing equipment.
  • Stayup to datewith the latest advancements inpre-roll production technologies and best practices.
  • Providesubject matter expertguidance to manufacturing sites on pre-roll processing methods, equipment, and techniques tooptimizeproduction processes.
  • Address and resolve technical issues, equipment malfunctions, and unexpected challenges inpre-roll production.


Process Improvement:



  • Continuously assess and improve processing methods and operations for efficiency improvements, cost effectiveness, and product quality.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements and automation where applicable.
  • Instill optimized processes at manufacturing sites and challenge the status quo.
  • Assistin bench topRnDprocess for new pre-roll products, current productimprovementand process improvement.


Training & Education:



  • Provide training and guidance to production teams onproductStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, safety protocols, &equipment operations.
  • Create and deliver educational materials and refresher workshops as needed.
  • Travel to lowpreformingsites toassistin RCA process andretraining ondocumentation andprocess.
  • Assistwith developing Tech transferpackageand training new sites onnewprocess.


Documentation:



  • Assistwith developing andmaintainingallCorporatepre-roll SOPs,workaids, TAMU's, OPLs.
  • Assist in developing site readiness documentation to assist with a successful product/process launch.


Safety & Compliance:



  • Be aware of hazards in the workspace.
  • Report safety incidents/ concerns andcomply withfollow-upactions.
  • Be compliant with area safety requirements, stateregulationsand PPErequirementswhen at manufacturing facilities.
  • Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliancerequirementswhen at manufacturing facilities.


Working Conditions



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required toperform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing,seeingand repetitive motions.
  • May berequiredto stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift,carryand balance up to 75 pounds (200 pounds withassistance).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
  • This role will require extensive up to 50% travel as needed to support sites across the enterprise during project implementation.


Qualifications



  • Associate'sin Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline such as food science, chemistry, biology, chemical and mechanical engineering, etc. preferred.
  • Experience with pre-roll product development, haveacquiredPre-roll developmentexpertise,knowledgeand experience with all pre-roll offerings.
  • Experience in innovating and commercializing pre-roll products within the cannabis or hemp spaces.
  • Experienced in pre-roll production (milling, infusing, filling, closing, Painting, & packaging), and knowledgeable of cannabis/pre-roll market trends.
  • Experience with both manufacturing and lab equipment and processes in pre-roll development.
  • Ability to plan, design experiments, and solve problems.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, fix, and service a wide range of equipment and software withoutassistance.
  • Knowledge of laboratory and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) best practices.
  • Advanced math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations,directivesand standard operating procedures.


Additional Requirements



  • Mustbe ata minimum of 21 years ofage.
  • MustpossessvalidstateID.
  • Must beable to obtain, andmaintain, state badging requirementstowork inthecannabis industry (requires background check and state review)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of thetime asneeded.

The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
