Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
Student Affairs at the Gillings School of Global Public Health provides an array of services and resources to prospective, admitted and current students. We aim to enhance student development by providing a supportive and safe environment in which you can achieve academic, social and professional success.

We coordinate major schoolwide programs such as orientations, a student activities fair, a career and internship fair and professional development workshops. We work to recruit excellent students; coordinate diversity outreach programs to expose high school, undergraduate students and professionals to the field of public health; and offer career services for current students and recent alumni.
Position Summary
Guest speaker will be presenting a 10-15 minute speech congratulating our students and addressing:

The role of public health in creating a healthier, more equitable world in the aftermath of the extraordinary peak COVID years and during a time when politics in America are increasingly complex.

The transformative power of a public health degree - to confront complex local and global challenges; and to help all communities move closer toward meeting the vital conditions of health needed for a healthy society where all people have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

All materials will be prepared prior to the session for review by supervisor.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Formal study and/or special study in assigned performing art sufficient to demonstrate technical and artistic skills in music theory, composition, sight-reading, arranging, and improvisation; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Prior public speaking experience.
