Position Title: Tool Room Machinist
Wage: $25.73 - $31.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am - 3:30pm We're seeking an experience Tool & Die Maker / Tool Room Machinist to join our team in Racine, WI. The ideal candidate is highly skilled with both manual and CNC machining, has strong tooling assembly experience, and can work independently on custom tooling projects with tight deadlines. Tool Room Machinist Responsibilities: - Build and assemble fixtures, gages and special machines to support production - Operate manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill presses) - Set up and run Bridgeport EZ-Trak and ProtoTRAK mills/lathes - Program and operate CNC machines using G-code, Gibbs CAM or other systems - Work from blueprints and 3D models to meet project specifications and deadlines - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine tolling solutions Requirements for Tool Room Machinist: - At least five years of experience in a tool room, precision machining or related environment - Proficiency in operating manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, saws and drill presses - Experience with CNC machinery, including setting up, programming and running CNC machines - Ability to program CNC machines using G-code, Gibbs CAM or similar systems - Strong knowledge of fixture and tooling assembly, including building fixtures, gauges and special machines - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and 3D models to meet specifications - Strong understanding of tooling design, fixture assembly, and precision machining practices - Familiarity with CNC programming software and manual machining techniques - Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in tooling and fixtures IND012 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
