Position Title: Material Handler
Wage: $20/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:30am-4:30pm A dependable Monday-Fridy, 8-5 role where you stay active, learn useful technical skills, and take pride in producing clean, high-quality finished parts. If you're detail-driven, reliable, and comfortable with hands-on work in a safety-focused environment, this is a solid, steady job with a great routine. Material Handler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Part Preparation: Clean, sand, degrease, and mask parts as needed to ensure proper powder coating application - Material Handling: Load and unload parts onto racks or coating lines; transport materials throughout the facility using forklifts or carts as required - Powder Coating Support: Assist with powder application by setting up spray equipment, selecting correct powder colors, and ensuring even, consistent coverage - Curing Process: Monitor parts as they move through curing ovens to ensure proper adhesion, finish, and cure times - Quality Inspection: Perform visual inspections of coated parts to identify defects and verify conformance to specifications - Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; properly handle waste and follow all safety procedures Material Handler Requirements: - Ability to lift 50+ pounds - Perform repetitive tasks including standing, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the shift - Comfortable operating production equipment, following work instructions, reading specifications, and performing basic troubleshooting as needed QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
