The Health Economics and Policy Innovation Collaborative (HEPIC) serves as a hub for rigorous, policy-relevant research at the intersection of health economics and policy. The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy works to define and shape the discourse around global public policies. Our research and curriculum focus on understanding the global impact of science, technology and innovation on society, and nurture transdisciplinary leaders who can analyze and make ethically-informed decisions in the public interest. Job Summary

The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy, together with the Health Economics and Policy Innovation Collaborative (HEPIC) at Georgia Tech, invites applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, starting August 15, 2026, or as soon as possible after that. For this position, we are particularly interested in qualified applicants with research interests and expertise related to health policy, the criminal and juvenile justice system, and causal inference research methods.

The Research Fellow will be part of the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy and HEPIC research team. The Fellow will engage in a research project examining the role of school-based healthcare on juvenile justice system involvement and juvenile delinquency, working in close partnership with Dr. Lindsey Bullinger and Dr. Analisa Packham of Vanderbilt University. Responsibilities will include data management, quasi-experimental data analysis, and results dissemination.

In addition to full faculty benefits, including health insurance and retirement, research fellows receive both research support and other services, including job market support for both academic and nonacademic positions in conjunction with other research fellows in the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, of which the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School of Public Policy is a unit.

Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in a relevant field, with specialization in public policy, economics, or other closely related field. Familiarity with causal inference methodological approaches is required.

PhD must be conferred before the start of the appointment, and not more than five years before the start of the appointment.
