Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY To supervise skilled and semi-skilled workers (housekeeping personnel). Responsibilities include training housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks; overseeing staff performance on a daily basis; checking rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness. Performs administrative duties and other duties as deemed necessary. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience: Two years previous supervisory experience a plus. Licensure: Must have a valid driver's license. Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training. CPI Training may be obtained during new hire orientation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in; interviews, evaluations and hiring potential housekeeping employees in cooperation with the Human Resources Department.
- Orients new housekeeping staff to all departmental policies,proceduresand expectations.
- Trains new housekeeping staff in diplomatic manner in association with Human Resources and Director of Plant Operations.
- Preparehousekeeping schedules for staff. Makes work assignments to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Checks progress and completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintainsemployee attendance records.
- Assists Plant Operations Director that the buildings and grounds are safe,cleanand well maintained.
- Performs routine checks of buildings and grounds to ensure that the building is safe,cleanand well maintained.
- Performs administrative duties asrequested: prepares andmaintains budgets for housekeeping and ensures that housekeeping department compiles with all state and regulatory agency requirements.
- Understands individual and departmental responsibilities for safety and infection control and assures that individual and departmental responsibilities are carried out as defined in policy andprocedure manuals.
- Always uses personal protective equipment as defined in housekeeping safety policies and procedures.
- Always uses universal precautions when in contact with bodily fluids.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Plant Operations mayinclude, butare not limited to the following: insures personal and timely compliance with required in-services. Completes ongoing education in the area of Plant Technology and Safety Management.
