What to Expect The Drive Systems Engineering team is seeking a skilled Requirements Engineer to focus on drive units, including motors, gearboxes, inverters (power electronics), and structural components, for Tesla's innovative electric vehicles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and manage requirements that ensure high-performance, reliable drive systems. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll bridge stakeholder needs with technical specifications, contributing to products like next-generation vehicles and trucks. This role involves analyzing system interactions, validating requirements through testing, and driving continuous improvement in drive system functionalities. You'll architect requirement structures, improve documentation and validation processes, and facilitate clear workflows to accelerate development and minimize rework.
