Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the UVA Medical Center. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D required Experience: No experience required Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia Preferred Qualifications Education: Pharm. D from an ACPE accredited college of Pharmacy Experience: Prior experience in an Inpatient hospital Pharmacy setting, and/or experience in clinical infusion Pharmacy settings. Licensure/Certifications: None Physical Demands - This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Compensation The pay rate for this role starts at $64.37 per hour. New hire compensation will be determined by education and experience. Onboarding Requirements Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
