Job Description




As a Security Custom Protection Officer in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in a healthcare environment, you will focus on access control, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a welcoming presence. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and assist visitors and staff, all while supporting a secure and orderly location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to situations as they arise.
  • Manage access control by verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering and exiting the healthcare location.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access within the facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential risks and identify any irregularities.
  • Assist visitors, staff, and patients with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and access control events as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and healthcare staff to address security-related concerns and support emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
