Application Developer- Top Secret Clearance Required

IMG seeks an Application Developer for a role supporting our customer in Washington, DC. The role is Hybrid, with a minimum of three days a week onsite. The Application Developer will implement both new applications and/or databases and enhancements for existing applications or databases. They will develop and execute test plans leveraging automated tools to validate functional requirements, while providing maintenance support resolution of defects for existing applications and support to enhancement requests. Additionally, they will manage the full software development lifecycle tasks-from planning and development through testing, documentation, and deployment, while ensuring compliance with modern database standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Review requirements and existing functionality of legacy applications (programmed in Visual Basic for Applications, VB.NET, ColdFusion, DBXL, etc.)
• Develop migration strategies to recapitalize ServiceNow application platform
• Draft and revise end-user operational instructions and other technical program documentation as needed for new or revised applications
• Execute transition and support user acceptance testing
• Improve existing end user documentation or write new documentation as needed for migrated applications
• Provide maintenance support, including resolution of defects and enhancement requests, for existing applications based on documented requirements Evaluate current database posture and ServiceNow platform operational requirements
• Complete all required periodic refresher and annual training requirements on time

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in application development to include the following:
  • Proficiency in common programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or others depending on environment).
  • Experience with modern development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, .NET, Django, Spring Boot).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
  • Experience in MySQL database operations
• Active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q clearance required

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant concentration
• Experience in JavaScript/ECMAScript, Angular, React, and Bootstrap; experience using these technologies within the ServiceNow application platform is a plus
• Experience in using C# and Visual Studio Tools for Office to interface with web-based REST APIs
• Experience performing the above with limited management oversight, independently and/or as part of a small team
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Salary: $110 - 155K
