Location: Freeport, Texas

Salary: $65,000 - $90,576
Schedule: 4-10s

Focus: The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing Maintenance & Repair Operations (MRO) inventories for the Freeport Site and assisting in the Global Materials Management Work Process. This role will support a group of plants at the Freeport Site and is expected to assist across multiple areas at the site and throughout the corporation.

The Freeport site is the single largest chlor alkali complex in the world with more than 1,000 employees. The chemical products produced at our Freeport location include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, aromatics, bleach, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid.

Inventory Coordinator Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintain MRO Inventories to approved levels, assist with optimizing levels where appropriate, and update associated MRO inventory records. Review inventories for obsolete and/or surplus items and manage according to best practice.
  • Assist in setting up new inventories and stocking levels.
  • Responsible for inputting new material numbers for stocked and non-stocked parts into Global Materials Management System.
  • Assist in managing equipment/part reservations for plants. Ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Participates in yearly cycle count process. Act as a technical focal point for items that are currently in process or to be inventoried.
  • Ensure received products are inspected and/or quality checks are performed where applicable.
  • Assist in standardization of items/materials across not only the Freeport site but also across all of the Global Materials Management System.
  • Actively contribute to work process improvements.

Inventory Coordinator Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse/material handling
  • Knowledge of the MRO inventory work process and understanding of orders reservations process.
  • Proficient in setting up new inventory items and adjusting stocking levels to meet operational needs.
  • Knowledgeable of the Quality, Service and Product Performance (QSPP) supplier review process.
  • Must be able to track and create reports on usage and slow-moving inventories; proficiency with SAP preferred.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Technical and Engineering Specifications and familiar with various types of chemical plant equipment/items.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
