Description Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and upkeep tasks on our buildings, grounds, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong understanding of general maintenance procedures, possess excellent troubleshooting abilities, and be committed to ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for all occupants. Pay Range: $18.70 - $23.37 per hour. Requirements Essential Duties:
- Routine Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect and troubleshoot issues with building infrastructure, making necessary repairs or coordinating with specialized contractors.
- Execute minor electrical work, such as replacing fixtures, ballasts, and outlets.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains, fixing leaks, and repairing faucets/toilets.
- Building & Grounds Upkeep:
- Conduct general carpentry work, including patching and painting walls, installing shelving, and repairing doors, windows, and furniture.
- Ensure the exterior grounds are well-maintained, including light landscaping, trash removal, and basic upkeep of walkways and parking areas.
- Manage and coordinate custodial tasks and ensure common areas and restrooms are clean and sanitary.
- Assist with moving furniture and setting up rooms for meetings or events.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed and materials used.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Vocational training or certification in a relevant skilled trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar skilled trade role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in multiple skilled trades (e.g., carpentry, painting, minor electrical, plumbing).
- Ability to read and interpret work orders.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Proficient with common hand and power tools.
Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully clear DOJ and FBI fingerprint checks.
- Must be cleared by ORR.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid California driver's license and current auto insurance.
- Must provide proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases (e.g., Varicella, MMR, Tdap, TB, Influenza).
- Completion of all required ORR trainings, including Employee Misconduct Acknowledgment, Code of Conduct, and Sexual Abuse and Harassment Prevention.
