Senior Financial Analyst - Drive Insight, Influence Strategy

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will leverage advanced analytical skills to streamline reporting, optimize month-end close processes, and implement automation tools that enhance the Corporate Accounting & Finance team's efficiency. This role offers exposure to cross-functional initiatives, trend analysis, and operational improvements-all while supporting a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Pay and Hours

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities



  • Build and implement automation tools to streamline financial reporting and month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize reports to support accounting and finance operations
  • Lead or assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
  • Analyze monthly financial results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights
  • Conduct trend analysis for corporate overhead and operational expenses, recommending strategies to capitalize on positive trends or mitigate negative ones
  • Support subsidiaries in consolidating financial data and ensuring accuracy
  • Collaborate with departments to improve the quality of financial data and reporting
  • Maintain financial documentation and assist with compliance initiatives in line with GAAP and corporate standards

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or related fields
  • Strong GAAP knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with ERP systems required
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 and Workday Office Connect is highly desirable
  • Power BI experience preferred
  • Logistics industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
