What you will do:
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding account status, credit terms, and payment issues. Deliver prompt and professional customer service to resolve concerns effectively.
- Assist in evaluating and processing credit applications, including collecting required documentation and conducting initial assessments.
- Support the credit team in setting up job accounts and processing lien releases, particularly for solar-related projects.
- Collaborate with the solar team to manage solar material documentation, track inventory, and ensure accurate credit allocations on customer accounts.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the solar team, including coordinating communications, maintaining records, and supporting project documentation needs.
- Maintain accurate customer account information in the financial system. Monitor accounts for overdue payments and discrepancies.
- Aid the credit team in collection efforts by preparing and distributing reminders, statements, and follow-up correspondence.
- Ensure all credit and collections documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed. Assist in generating reports for management review.
- Lead the review and monitoring of the credit department's email inbox, ensuring timely responses and appropriate delegation to team members.
- Adherent to company policies and applicable regulations in all credit and collections activities.
What you will bring:
- 2+ years in credit, collections, or administrative support, preferably in a renewable energy or solar-related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in process improvement and handling customer accounts preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Required to sit, speak, hear, read, type, use close and distance vision (about 5-8 hours per shift).
- This position works in a normal office environment, with standard office equipment. Remote work applies for this role.
Location:Virtual
Work hours:8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary Range:
- This is a non-exempt position and pays between $26.00 - $29.00 per hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
