CLA is currently seeking a Tax Senior to join our Partnership Tax Consulting practice.

How you'll create opportunities in this Tax Senior - Partnership Tax Consulting role:

  • Serve as a member of the Partnership Tax Consulting team.
  • Participate in collaborative team projects involving partnership transactions, including preparing IRC Section 704(b) and inside tax capital accounts, as well as tracking and allocating IRC 704(c) built-in gains and losses.
  • Communicate with team and clients and keep all informed of engagement progress and issues encountered.
  • Keep up to date with new federal tax developments.
  • Assist project leaders with scoping new projects.
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment that offers growth, autonomy, and encouragement to make things happen.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, JD Degree or a related field
  • 2+ years' of experience performing partnership compliance, an understanding of accounting methods, and creation of tax basis balance sheets.
  • CPA eligible preferred
  • Foundational understanding of subchapter K, familiarity with targeted allocations, and some experience with complex partnership transactions preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Alteryx is preferred

The compensation range for this position in Minnesota is: $95,900.00 - $165,000.00

The compensation range for this position in California is: $112,700.00 - $190,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Colorado is: $104,300.00 - $171,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Illinois is: $95,900.00 - $171,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Maryland is: $108,500.00 - $184,000.00

The compensation range for this position in New Jersey is: $121,200.00 - $184,000.00

The compensation range for this position in New York is: $125,400.00 - $190,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $104,300.00 - $177,000.00
