Job Overview

The nature of this position is to:



  • Collect, manage, and evaluate Key Performance Indicators for improvement opportunities
  • Recommend and offer suggestions to most effectively utilize and safely operate the equipment
  • Advise the mine on the proper maintenance procedures and development of preventive maintenance schedules
  • Leads regular continuous improvement meetings
  • Assist mine personnel to evaluate electrical, hydraulic and mechanical failure and recommend corrective action

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Complete regular machine inspections with customer
  • Determine and implement effective preventative maintenance schedules with mine personnel
  • Evaluate monthly parts and component usage, determine excessive use levels, suggest corrective actions
  • Collect and manage Key Performance Indicators
  • Complete regular inventory reviews to determine customer stocking requirements
  • Conduct on-the-job training for equipment maintenance and operation
  • Lead quarterly review teams
  • Evaluate down time occurrences for improvement opportunities
  • Complete machine commissioning requirements
  • Act as a liason between Joy and mine personnel
  • Observes equipment operation to ensure proper performance. Suggests necessary improvements.
  • Submit timely and comprehensive Field Service Reports related to machine performance and other activities
  • Reduces contract liability exposure
  • Counsels customer in maintenance of equipment
  • Responds to product complaints in an expeditious manner

Qualifications/Requirements

1. 3-5 years technical/maintenance experience with underground mining equipment



2. Associates degree in Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience



3. Proficient with personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP basics
