Summary:

In this role, you will support the strategic and operational success of Vizient's pharmacy programs by ensuring effective client management and operational excellence. This role will lead key client segments, including Provista, non-acute, independent community markets, and other priority accounts, while driving measurable outcomes in client engagement, value delivery, renewals, and pharmacy program growth. Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Pharmacy SMD VPs, category leadership, and client management teams to align SMD strategies with organizational goals and pharmacy category priorities.

  • Oversee SMD operations, including policies and procedures, dashboards, performance metrics, cost studies, and implementations, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

  • Develop and lead team training to enhance capabilities in analytics, AI, IME, dashboards, and tools that strengthen client outcomes and Vizient value.

  • Serve as the primary executive contact for Provista, non-acute, independent community, and key segment accounts (e.g., CHA), building strong client partnerships.

  • Drive member engagement and success, ensuring satisfaction and measurable client value.

  • Achieve pharmacy CNAF targets, program revenue goals, client value delivery, renewals, and new business opportunities.

  • Mentor and develop Pharmacy Executives (PEs) to improve execution, accountability, and results while fostering engagement, retention, and succession planning.

  • Guide execution of savings guarantees, RFPs, deal models, and strategic initiatives to maximize client access, commitment, and resource stewardship.

  • Contribute to pharmacy pricing strategies for RFPs, business development opportunities, and deal models, including narrative development for proposals and presentations.

  • Collaborate with sales, solution architects, spend leaders, and pharmacy leaders to drive cross-selling, upselling, and overall client success.

  • Foster collaboration across internal stakeholders and provide constructive feedback to program owners to enhance performance and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD required. Master's in business a ideal.

  • 10 or more years' relevant experience required. Experience in a multi-system hospital setting with physician engagement desired.

  • Experience with pharmacy supply chain operations, pharmacy distribution, sourcing, pharmacy contract management, and purchasing activities required.

  • Experience leading and facilitating council or committee meetings preferred.

  • Prior experience evaluating savings through clinical opportunities and contracting preferred.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
