Production Team Leader

The Team Lead supports the Supervisor in coordinating daily production activities and ensuring a smooth, efficient assembly workflow. This role helps guide team members, reinforces safety and quality standards, and assists with training and task assignments. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting the Supervisor in driving productivity and teamwork, while continuing daily production work.

• Ensures a safety-focused culture by clearly communicating expectations, enforcing safe work practices, and holding employees accountable for safety violations.
• Monitors and communicates employee issues and concerns, involving HR/Management when immediate action is required.
• Participates in operational improvement programs and projects.
• Facilitates efficient changeovers and performs first-off quality checks.
• Provides daily direction, training, and coaching to production employees to ensure efficient operations and strong performance.
• Supports team performance in productivity, quality, housekeeping, and personal accountability.
• Works with the supervisor on performance issues, recognition, and consistent application of policies and work practices.
• Ensures operators follow proper procedures and adhere to SOPs related to Safety, Quality, Production, Inventory, and 5S.
• Monitors and maintains raw materials, production supplies, and tools.
  Reports and tracks shift metrics, including daily performance and production results.

  • Provides coverage when the shift supervisor is unavailable.
  • Provides mentoring, coaching, training, and monitors safety, quality, and production of the assigned team.
  
  
  
  

• Demonstrated initiative in a fast-paced work environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coach and train team members
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills
• Proven understanding of company policies, safety, quality, production procedures and rules.
• Strong skill sets at leading change and motivating teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as CMS/Oracle
