As a Production Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and oversee daily operations to align with the master production schedule, ensuring objectives are met safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

  • Execute and monitor weekly manufacturing plans while driving plant-wide performance for production, quality, and schedule attainment.

  • Collaborate with Quality Systems, R&D, Engineering, Customer Service, and Planning to optimize workflow, efficiency, and product quality.

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement programs (GCI, kaizen events, GEMBA, etc.), including employee safety initiatives.

  • Evaluate and improve production methods, procedures, and processes, ensuring compliance with GMP and audit requirements.

  • Manage production safety programs, training support, and incident investigations.

  • Direct and support capital project installation and startup in partnership with Engineering and Maintenance.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for mixing and packaging operations through supervisors to ensure efficiency, quality, and target achievement.

  • Manage staffing responsibilities including hiring, onboarding, training development, performance management, safety training, accident investigations, and overtime management.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent level

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and employee safety practices.

  • Experience with safety, regulatory compliance, and GMP standards.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Lithonia, GA full time and travel periodically as needed.

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) desirable

  • A proven track record of leading teams to meet operational goals.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments.

Environmental Concerns

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Dust and odor are present in the environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. However, the noise level within the plant can be extremely loud and requires hearing protection in designated areas.

In Office ROLES

This role is affiliated to the Lithonia, GA location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance of that location and will be required to come into that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
