Orthotic and Prosthetic Technician Ortho-Orthotics & Prosthetic Full Time 87047BR Job Summary Working under general supervision of the Department Director and specific supervision of the unit Clinical Manager, the technician is responsible for creating custom prosthetic and orthotic devices by fabricating constituent parts and assembling those parts into completed devices. The technician is also responsible for stocking and ordering fabrication inventory and maintaining lab cleanliness. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $36.11 - $44.95 (Hourly Rate). The department has three office locations providing off-the-shelf and custom orthopaedic devices. Working under the general supervision of the Department Director and the specific supervision of the unit Clinical Manager, the technician is responsible for assisting with the creation of custom prosthetic and orthotic devices by fabricating constituent parts and assembling those parts into completed devices.
