About the role

The Product Manager I, Upstream Marketing will be responsible for new product development efforts on the Access Solutions team, part of the Electrophysiology division. They will drive innovation in transseptal crossing products and access sheaths; as well as therapy sheaths and wires for use in FARAPULSE Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) cases.

The role will require gathering KOL feedback, understanding market size and competitive market landscape, business inputs, and clinical needs across various geographies. The Product Manager II will bring a commercial voice to product development teams and develop business cases to support new product development. This person will then work closely with downstream commercial teams to advise, collaborate and support launch readiness plans in various geographies.

The Product Manager II will interact with physicians during limited market release, at Advisory Boards, Innovation Center visits, animal labs, and other KOL meetings to gather key feedback on development activities for new products and turn that feedback into action plans. They will work closely with a cross-functional team and will need to be able to manage multiple development projects in parallel.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Developing marketing and strategy inputs for Access Solutions product cadence.
  • Participate in Access Solutions market research efforts, including the creation, execution, readout, and recommended next steps from key customer insights. This includes VOC sprints, qualitative and quantitative studies; attitude, trends, and usage reports; and synthesizing data.
  • Partnering with Access Solutions, FARAPULSE, and WATCHMAN R&D teams to drive cross-franchise innovations.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team and cross-functional team members to ensure future development plans will deliver overall revenue and profit objectives.
  • Building business cases for future product portfolio and new market opportunities including market modelling.
  • Influencing Global PM, Sales Training, R&D Engineering, Regulatory, Marketing Communications, and Digital Marketing teams/functions to set up the franchise for successful product launches, including providing ongoing support to Sales including education, resources & collateral.
  • Creating collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including focus on Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Clinicians.
  • Anticipating competitive activities, monitoring competitive pipelines, and strategically responding to competitive initiatives through product iterations.
  • Build Quality into all aspects of your work by maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
  • Other duties as required.



Required qualifications:



  • Completion of an Undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Engineering, Science or Arts)
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • 1+ years of prior product management, healthcare marketing, and/or engineering experience, including strategic commercialization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to engage and influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to mobilize key stakeholders and engage leadership
  • Willing and able to travel 20% - 30% of time in role, both domestic and international travel



Preferred qualifications:



  • Completion of MBA or Master of Engineering
  • Work experience in the medical device industry
  • Experience with Physician and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement



Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office inArden Hills, Minnesota at least three days per week.
