ITA is seeking a System Administrator to join the team at our Headquarters Office in Newport News, VA starting in March 2026.



Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team, responsible for maintaining and optimizing ITA enterprise systems. This role involves the administration of our Microsoft Office and Azure Cloud environments. You will be tasked with diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for both Windows PCs and Apple devices, meticulously documenting your remediation steps. You will also contribute to configuring and upgrading network equipment, system security management, technical analysis, and aligning technology solutions with business requirements.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Provide end-to-end support for hardware, software, firmware, and network issues on Windows PCs and Apple devices, including thorough documentation of all troubleshooting and resolution steps.
  • Manage and maintain cloud services including Azure Entra ID, Intune, Power Apps, Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Design and implement automated administrative solutions for Azure and Office 365 environments using PowerShell scripting.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision and manage Azure virtual resources that support application deployment and scalability.
  • Oversee security and compliance configurations across Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Entra ID, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Purview.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and security records for all PCs, Macs, and iPads within the organization.


Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows OS and hardware.
  • 1 year experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Apple MacOS Support.
  • 2 years of experience with PowerShell for automation and management within an Azure AD, Office365 or Power Platform environment
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Intune, Office365, Power Apps and Azure Cloud Administration.
  • A solid understanding of security and risk management principles and their application in a business environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Possess Microsoft Azure certifications in Fundamentals, Security, and/or Office 365 Administration.
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Cloud architecture and its core components.
  • Skilled in deploying and managing Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and associated support requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Compliance, Identity, and Security Solutions.
