RN ICU Stepdown

D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule - Weekends, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE

• MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE/PCU EXPERIENCE
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry Experience Required
• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) Years Experience

• Experience in Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains
• Experience with 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines
• Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips
• Experience with DBS Insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, seizures
