Job Description

Pay Range DOE: $20.00-22.00/hr

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:

Goodwill Staffing is seeking a Driver/ Warehouse Worker for a local distribution company, no CDL required! Join our team for this temp-to-hire (ongoing) opportunity with a strong company. Goodwill Staffing is a full-service staffing agency within Goodwill of Colorado. Goodwill Staffing offers many employment opportunities such as temporary-to-hire and temporary day labor positions. Goodwill Staffing serves the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. Goodwill Staffing works with a variety of Clients offering a variety of job opportunities.

This position is usually outdoors, and the incumbent will be exposed to driving conditions, weather, road conditions/traffic, State/Federal/Local driving laws, safety of transported people or supplies, etc. These opportunities are typically more physical requiring the incumbent to be sitting, twisting, bending, and visually aware through their shift. The GSS, Driver position is customer-facing and will represent the Client and Goodwill in a positive manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Driving and delivery



  • Transporting materials and finished products between warehouses, distribution centers, and other locations.
  • Planning routes, following schedules, and adhering to transportation regulations.
  • Driving defensively, safely, and respectfully to various locations.
  • Collecting payments and managing customer complaints as needed.


Loading and unloading



  • Using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load and unload materials.
  • Securing goods properly during transport.
  • Moving inventory including large pipes and other materials from trucks to proper storage locations and vice versa.


Warehouse and inventory management



  • Assisting with warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and organizing inventory.
  • Receiving and inspecting inbound shipments for damage or discrepancies.
  • Verifying stock, updating logs, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and inventory.
  • Reporting any inventory discrepancies or losses.


Vehicle maintenance and safety



  • Performing pre-trip inspections of vehicles to check for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
  • Reporting any vehicle defects or needed repairs.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area and removing safety hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred


Experience:



  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience operating a variety of vehicles, including vans and trucks
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions


Other:



  • Previous experience preferred


Background Compliance:



  • Background check, drug screen, and driving record is required per client requirements
