Job Objective(s)
The Scheduler is responsible for supporting and assisting the Resident Service Coordinator in their duties and functions. Summary of responsibilities include promoting excellence in resident care, supporting families, and being knowledgeable and resourceful on the topics of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Responsible for assisting in the recruiting, hiring, training of employees; completing staffing, scheduling and timekeeping review, employee recognition and engagement. Ensures appropriate staffing coverage and contacts alternative employees as needed to fill vacancies. Ensures staffing is controlled within budget guidelines.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
* Responsible for the daily staffing schedule working within the budget guidelines.
* Support the Resident Service Coordinator in their job functions and duties.
* Assist in the hiring and training of new employees.
Essential Duties: Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
* Partners with community team to ensure community follows all federal, state, local laws & regulations & Gentle Touch Health Initiatives quality standards for resident care and services
* Maintains and/or exceeds standards of cleanliness, hygiene, proper attire and health standards
Essential Duties: Resident Focus
* Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times
* Essential Duties: Risk Management and General Safety
* Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations
* Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout/Tagout procedures

* Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals
* Demonstrates in daily interactions with others
* Contributes in the overall engagement programs and processes (customer and employee engagement) including participating in the employee engagement survey and engagement improvement planning workshops
* Attends regular meetings as directed by the Campus Administrator
Training
Online Training
* Fulfills all required training within the required timeframe, including the completion of all online training and study application appropriate for the position.
* Completes all training required by the state or other regulating authorities including ongoing training per regulations
* Completion of the following training may be required and/or certificates available per regulations and laws as applicable
Qualifications
* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
* One (1) year job related preferred in scheduling experience
* Ability to handle multiple priorities
* Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
* Competent in organizational, time management skills
* Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
* Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident's best interest
* Ability to works independently without direct supervision by following community procedures and guidelines; ability to follow through on assigned tasks
* Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications
