What you'll do:

The Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's risk management framework by performing control testing, managing issues, and facilitating the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process. This role ensures that operational, compliance, and strategic risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Control Testing
    • Execute periodic testing of key controls to validate design and operating effectiveness.
    • Document test results, identify gaps, and recommend remediation actions.
    • Collaborate with process owners to ensure timely resolution of control deficiencies.
  • Issue Management
    • Track and monitor risk issues from identification through remediation.
    • Partner with stakeholders to develop corrective action plans and verify implementation.
    • Maintain accurate issue logs and provide status reporting to management.
  • Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)
    • Coordinate and facilitate RCSA workshops with business units.
    • Assist in identifying key risks and controls, ensuring proper documentation in risk systems.
    • Analyze RCSA results to highlight trends, emerging risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Prepare risk dashboards and metrics for senior management and governance committees.
    • Support regulatory and internal audit requests related to risk and control activities.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to enhancements in risk management processes, tools, and methodologies.
    • Stay informed on industry best practices and regulatory developments.

What you'll need:

  • 4+ years of related experience including 2 years of Risk Management, internal audit or compliance.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate experience with data analysis and research with the ability to identify and escalate cases or inquiries to mitigate bank risks.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Intermediate experience with banking applications and systems preferred.
  • Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
