The Role

The Investment Recovery Senior Specialist ensures that surplus and end of life materials are inventoried and redistributed, sold or disposed of in an environmentally and financially sound manner. This field-based role requires 50% travel within our service area.

What You'll Do
  • Coordination: Work with Material Yard Supervisors and external contractors to manage the sale and disposal of scrap and surplus materials.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee scrap and surplus material master service agreements (MSAs) and contracts, ensuring vendors adhere to terms.
  • Strategy Development: Create strategies for selling assets to secondary market channels in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Contract Management: Manage relationships with key vendors for asset sales, auctions, and scrap recovery.
  • Inventory Processing: Use SAP and EPIQ software systems to process inventory and asset disposal material transfers.
  • Marketing: Promote asset resale opportunities internally and through business-to-business channels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of improvement to enhance the Investment Recovery Program and recycling opportunities.
  • Travel: Expect 50% travel to local, regional, and occasionally national sites for vendor meetings and conferences.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree required, Environmental Science, Business Management, Supply Chain or similar degree preferred
  • 3+ years of exceptional sales or customer service experience required
  • 3+ years of resale end of life materials and supplies preferred
  • 3+ years of gas or oil utility experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of sales processes including marketing (private treaty, auction, sealed bids), sales documentation, payment processing and inventory control required
  • Proficiency with MS Office required, SAP preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recycling outlets and environmental processes required
  • Demonstrated project and contract management skills required
  • Proven ability to make presentations to diverse audiences
  • Knowledge of storm recovery processes and experience managing storm contractors in the field for investment recovery efforts
  • Valid driver's license required

Salary

$88,000 - $104,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
