2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

JOB SUMMARY

Kemps has an immediate job opening for a facility maintenance team member.

Job duties include: preventative and predictive maintenance, building maintenance, trouble shooting and repairing processing and packaging equipment which may include a combination of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, refrigeration and hydraulic systems. Will also be required to maintain records, follow written instructions such as machine manuals, and maintain a clean work area.

Job will require strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), and Food Safety Policies. Job may require working an alternative shift for training and for vacation coverage. Other duties as assigned.

THIS POSITION PAYS:

• $36.98 per hour

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; 2:00PM to 10:00PM

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two years of Vocational Technical and/or Military (Class "C") Education related to electrical and/or mechanical maintenance. Or experience in a similar manufacturing setting.
• Prefer experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing processing and packaging equipment, but will consider similar experience.
• Knowledge and experience with electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics systems and control systems.
• Plumbing, refrigeration, welding, and skills are a plus
• Some computer skills required
• Job may require some continuing education for advancement (paid for by the company, but on personal time).
• Must meet Job Analysis requirements
• Must follow Kemp's safety rules and policies
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Basic math skills
• Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary
• Must be able to work in a wet environment
• Must be able to legibly write entries for record keeping
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
• May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals
• Driver's license required to operate a company-owned vehicle
