Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Specialist, Supply Chain Management-Pharmacy Services.
In this role, the successful candidate as the Pharmacy Services Specialist will focus on supporting the Manager of Pharmacy Services and Sr. Specialist, Pharmacy Services in projects within the Supply Chain Management teams. This person will focus on analyzing data to best support mitigation strategy for any medication shortages. They take the lead on presenting data and socializing long-term plans for constrained items and communicating to the Supply Chain Pharmacy Services team effectively. They are action-oriented, pay close attention to detail, and are analytical in their approach. The Pharmacy Services Specialist will also support the Sr. Specialist in solving any constrained medications that are of immediate need. They lead the quick use of data to support any external and internal stakeholders to solve complex product availability issues, preventing potential service disruptions from occurring.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Specialist to prioritize and resolve immediate needs related to constrained products.
- Utilize analytical skills to drive data-driven insights and recommendations for optimizing supply chain operations.
- Analyze reporting to identify areas where supply disruption is at risk.
- Analyze internal data such as purchase order history and inventory data to support issue resolution.
- Present data and other key information to upper management in various settings.
- Report out on key metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain a meticulous approach to data detail, ensuring accuracy of information in all phases of project execution and communication
- Coordinate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve complex product availability challenges promptly.
- Analyze root causes of medication access constraints and develop effective solutions to ensure product availability.
- Support the communication of long-term strategies for constrained items, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
- Take proactive measures to prevent potential service disruptions and escalate critical issues to leadership as needed.
- Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures and training modules to ensure consistent day-to-day execution
- Support the Manager of Pharmacy Services in Supply Chain Management projects focusing on mitigating product shortages and addressing medication procurement issues.
- Participate in special projects and serve as the liaison between the Pharmacy teams and the Supply Chain Management team
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree required with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Has a strong customer focus, a sense of urgency, and high level of accountability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to upper management teams.
Experienced in leading projects, and a strong history of working with cross functional partners. Comfortable analyzing data and presenting findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pharmaceutical supplier/end user relations and supply chain management technologies. Tableau experience. Experience working in fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of adapting to evolving business needs.
Experience with Tableau preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $79,234.99 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
