Overview

The Control & Monitoring Systems (CMS) Manager will be responsible for managing the design, installation, and commissioning of central control & monitoring systems (CCS/CMS) for the new Purple Line light rail project. This includes Cyber Security protection for these systems and their associated networks.

The Purple Line Light Rail Project, led by FlatironDragados, is a transformative infrastructure initiative in Maryland. Spanning 16 miles, the new light rail line will connect key communities in the Washington, D.C. suburbs, enhancing regional mobility and reducing traffic congestion. The project includes the construction of 21 stations, multiple bridges, tunnels, and state-of-the-art transit facilities-demonstrating Dragados' expertise in delivering complex, large-scale transportation infrastructure.



What you will be doing

    Manage and coordinate the implementation of the Central Control Center systems (CCS/CMS) in a Rail Transportation environment.
  • Manage the development and implementation of Cyber Security Protection of all systems
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of the Central Database Management Systems.
  • Plan, monitor and document System performance during Trial Running period
  • Coordinate between Designer, Suppliers and Operator/Maintainer.
  • Working knowledge of Control and Monitoring Systems, Performance Reporting Systems. Cyber Security Protection in a Rail Transit Environment


What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with design, installation, testing and Cyber Security protection of Rail Control Center Systems
  • Experience with control/ monitoring, networks and cyber security for Light Rail Transit Systems
    Organizational ability - able to prioritize, organize and monitor activities and suppliers.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to establish good rapport with site staff at all levels
  • Able to work well both by him/herself and in a small team.
