Overview (Scope of Role)

This Part-Time (50%) Business Development Manager - North America Latex Binders role consists of strategic marketing and business development for the Sustainable Packaging platform to accelerate growth in North America with customers in adhesives (CASE), barrier applications (Paper & Board) and downstream in the packaging value chain (converters, brand owners, etc.). Additionally, the role includes driving business growth in coated board applications capitalizing on increasing regional production and expansion of paper-based packaging.



Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager (BDM) holds a pivotal role in driving the company's strategic growth and market leadership. Key responsibilities include:

    Strategically exploring target market segments to identify opportunities and define optimal partnerships.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to deepen understanding of application and product innovations, and with functional teams to establish robust service capabilities, ensuring a clear path to market success.
  • Expanding market share by developing key accounts that excel in their specific segments and following through with successful Trinseo product qualifications and commercialization activities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in either business development, marketing, or other commercial and/or technical roles in Polymers or the Chemical Industry
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a intimate knowledge of legal contracts.
  • Demonstrated capabilities of key account development.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in managing opportunities from identification through product commercialization.
  • Demonstrated capabilities of learning new applications and product technologies.
  • High level of accountability and ownership.
  • Team player.
