WUNC Radio provides quality news, information and entertainment programming to a broad listening audience that includes North Carolina, the United States and the world.
WUNC serves North Carolinians from Greensboro to the Outer Banks through a network of ten stations. |
| Position Summary |
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy.
UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station. If business needs change, an individual employee's designation may be adjusted with a required minimum of ten (10) business days' notice unless employee conduct or safety issues necessitate otherwise at the discretion of management.
This position reports to the Finance Director of
WUNC-FM and the occupant must maintain a high level of professionalism and courteousness, perform with a high degree of accuracy, and maintain confidentiality at all times. The primary responsibilities performed include gift processing and deposits, detailed data entry, processing vouchers,
TIM (Time Management System) management, PaymentWorks, and serving as a key interface with staff and other university departments. This position will also support areas of HR, P-Card management and overall business office functions. The preferred candidate will have experience using PeopleSoft Financials (ConnectCarolina), fundraising software, and strong Microsoft Office skills. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. |
| Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
- Have experience working in financial systems
- Be able to balance timeliness and accuracy while performing data entry
- Keep accurate records, including HR documents, financial reports, and activity logs
- Understand and follow database protocol when maintaining donor records and gift information in databases
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Work successfully in a team environment. |
| Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
- Experience with
UKG/Kronos Time management system
- Experience with expense reconciliation
- Experience with PeopleSoft Connect Carolina
- Possess an understanding of gift entry policy and the ability to work through varying types of gift entry procedures.
- Independently resolve issues requiring interpretation of policy and procedure. |
