Dorothy's Market Clerk Lead

As a Dorothy's Market Clerk Lead, you will provide leadership and direction to Dorothy's Market Clerks. Perform a variety of customer service duties that include assisting customers, operating a cash register, and stocking shelves.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Directs Dorothy's Market clerks in completion of all daily tasks
* Manages IL employee orders from inventory
* Functions as the back-up to Assistant Manager for placing store orders
* Directs clerks in cleaning of store, merchandising product, and pricing decisions
* Completes daily bookwork
* Assists in the unloading and loading of Dorothy's trucks
* Troubleshoots and resolves questions and issues at the register
* Closes registers and runs nightly reports
* Operates cash register as needed
* Operates floor scrubber
* Answers and resolves all customer issues and questions
* Assists in interviewing and hiring of full and part-time clerks
* Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the store

YOU MUST HAVE

• Must be currently employed by Dot Foods or Dot Transportation, Inc.
• High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
  
  
• Prior retail experience
  
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
  
• Strong math skills
  
• Previous computer experience

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Full-time 40 hours per week with varying days & shifts Tues-Sat--11:30AM-8:00PM; Wed-Fri--8:00AM-4:30PM
• Standing for 8 hours at a time on concrete floors in a grocery store type setting.
