The selected contractor will engage deeply in the Energy-Intensive Industries (EII) team's technical projects and activities, interacting with experts in academia, industry, and at the national labs.

The position will support the development and management of RD&D programs focused on developing new technologies through the management of large federal programs and projects with partners in industry, academia, and national laboratories. Support activities associated with the sub-program including the development, maintenance, and execution of an innovation strategy which includes exploring areas of interest and participating in the process for and management of funding awards and projects.
  • Program Management: Collaborate on the active project management of ITO awards to oversee a research, development, and demonstration portfolio of transformative iron and steel technologies in the United States.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with DOE staff and contractors in a program of activities to build and maintain relationships with leaders from industry and academia. As needed, engage in public-facing aspects of the ITO Iron and Steel industry program.
