Our mission is to deliver high-impact, meaningful, and rewarding work that solves our customers' critical needs.

At Stellar Solutions, we offer talented, energetic, and immediately productive resources to satisfy our customers' critical needs in systems engineering and integration, mission operations, program management, and strategic planning. We are a leading service and expertise provider for high-tech commercial ventures, spanning communications, earth observation and remote sensing systems and data products, to the infrastructures that support earth-orbiting and beyond-earth-orbit businesses.

Stellar Solutions is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to provide weapons and tactics subject matter expertise for a fast-paced, mission-critical space program in Las Cruces, NM. In this role, you will support a premier national security customer by evaluating system capabilities, assessing threat impacts, refining TTPs, and ensuring mission readiness. The selected candidate will operate in a dynamic environment, coordinating with SETA partners, government leadership, and technical teams to deliver actionable insights and operationally focused recommendations.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications

Role Overview

In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to government customers, providing deep insight into space and mission system operations, vulnerabilities, and threat impacts. You will help shape concepts of operations (CONOPS), tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and ensure system capabilities are fully understood and ready for real-world missions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide weapons and tactics subject matter expertise to the customer, offering technical insight and representing the program at meetings, working groups, forums, and conferences.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical awareness of regional system operations, vulnerabilities, threat analysis, and TTP development.
  • Participate as a technical reviewer in working groups, engineering review boards, design reviews, test readiness reviews, and operational readiness reviews.
  • Evaluate vehicle and mission system capabilities and assess the impact of emerging and existing threats on operations and mission effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with SETA team members, senior government leadership, and mission partners to drive technically sound recommendations and decisions.
  • Communicate and interface effectively with engineers and operators from multiple contractors and government organizations.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise technical briefings to the customer on system capabilities, threats, and operational impacts.
  • Proactively identify issues, pursue required information, and develop viable, mission-focused recommendations and solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related technical field (contract requirement).
  • 3-13 years of relevant technical experience (per contract).
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Experience in satellite operations, vehicle engineering, or orbit analysis.
  • Experience developing new processes, procedures, or TTPs in an operational environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) missions, organizations, and processes.
  • Knowledge or awareness of threat systems and associated system capability analysis.
  • Experience supporting operations in a highly integrated, multi-contractor or SETA environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing and delivering technical briefings to senior stakeholders.

Deliverable(s)

This role puts you at the operational tip of the spear - translating real-world threats into tactics, procedures, and system recommendations that directly impact mission success for a high-priority national security space program. If you enjoy blending satellite operations, threat analysis, and hands-on collaboration with senior government leadership, this is a chance to shape how the mission fights and wins.
