The Office of the Chancellor at UCLA serves as the central executive authority, guiding the university's strategic vision and ensuring the fulfillment of its mission in education, research, and public service. The chancellor shapes the campus's strategic plan and oversees a substantial budget, managing a diverse community of over 43,000 students, 4,300 faculty, and 42,000 staff members.
Position Summary

Under the direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff, the Residence Manager provides operational, logistical, and event support for activities held at the Chancellor's Residence. The incumbent serves as a key liaison for all events, maintenance, and hospitality functions associated with the Residence, ensuring that it operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the University's high standards of service and protocol. Support special projects and other assignments for the Associate of the Chancellor.


Salary & Compensation

Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination, hospitality, or residence management, preferably in an executive or institutional setting. (Required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact tactfully and professionally with high-level guests and staff. (Required)
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. (Required)
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and work independently. (Required)
  • Requires fully onsite presence at the Residence. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours as required. (Required)
  • Valid California driver's license and ability to lift and transport supplies as needed. (Required)

  • Must possess, upon hire, and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License in accordance with the California (CA) Department of Motor Vehicles. (Required)
