The Division of Applied Social Sciences in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.

Job Description

The Division of Applied Social Sciences is seeking a motivated, proactive, highly organized and detail oriented individual. This position is ideal for someone who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and who will work hard to ensure optimal fiscal and HR support to the faculty, staff, and students in our division.

Fiscal- 55%

  • Serve as Post Award Point of contact for Division. Work one on one with PIs to support grant tracking, budget projections, payroll changes, etc.
  • Prepare monthly managerial reports for faculty and division administration.
  • Manage copier service option for Division.

HR- 35%

  • Process all hires and transactions for all students and non-benefit eligible positions.
  • Maintain all electronic files in accordance with the University's records retention policy and updates as necessary.
  • Maintain spreadsheet for both monthly and biweekly payroll.
  • Reconcile payroll for both monthly and biweekly payroll.
  • Serve as biweekly timekeeper for the Division.
  • Oversee DASS work study program.
  • Send EVRS (effort verification reports) reminders to faculty, staff, and students to confirm and /or recertify their EVRs as required.

Other- 10%

  • Receive and respond to a range of inquiries and provide accurate and up to date information on divisional policies, procedures, funding and other topics.
  • Other duties as assigned
Shift

Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $17.05 -$23.37 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
