The Role

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive marketing and external relations strategies that accelerate growth of the USTA Foundation's visibility and revenue. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a proven track record in driving brand awareness, donor/sponsor acquisition, and revenue growth. The Director of Marketing will manage a team of professionals and consultants, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals.

    Oversee the development and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional advertising.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and measurable ROI for all initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Define and track key marketing metrics, providing regular reports on performance to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising and programs teams to ensure brand consistency and cohesive messaging.
  • Oversee the successful execution of our revenue-generating signature events
  • Manage external agencies and vendors as needed to support marketing efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging marketing technologies.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies that drive measurable results that drive organizational mission.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing in the social impact sector.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Understanding of and experience in executing social impact marketing in the nonprofit or corporate sector
  • Ability to track how well marketing and revenue is doing and to effectively report back to leaders and stakeholders on reach and engagement.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and CRM software.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and CRM software, particularly those used for donor management.
  • This position is located out of one of two NY-area offices (Purchase, NY or NYC) designated as "hybrid/flex" and may allow for both remote and on-site work.

The expected range for the base salary for this position is between $115,000 - $128,000 plus a potential ICP bonus. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
