SALARY:

$195,500 to $244,400 per year. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance in the planning, development, and implementation of the RVUCOM clinical curriculum, in close collaboration with the Senior Associate Dean, Clinical Education Data & Curriculum Manager, relevant committees, and curriculum coordinators.
  • Provide team leadership through regular feedback, assessment, and performance evaluations. Cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with community physicians and healthcare leaders across Colorado, Utah, and neighboring regions to expand and enhance clinical training opportunities for students.
  • Participate in clerkship rotation site visits and inspections to ensure quality student experiences and adjunct faculty compliance to the Clinical Education Manual. Assist in recruiting, developing, advancing, and retaining preceptors, faculty, and staff.
  • Foster a culture of respect, equity, and inclusion by recruiting, hiring, and retaining talent, while collaborating with internal departments, partner institutions, and key stakeholders to advance the mission of RVU and RVUCOM in alignment with the University's core values.
  • Collaborate on the development of policies and procedures for RVUCOM clinical education, and implement strategies to ensure adherence to established budgets, policies, and protocols.
  • Ensure the delivery, ongoing evaluation, and continuous improvement of academic standards in alignment with accreditation requirements set by the American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOA COCA).
  • Work with faculty and administration to implement the integration of clinical knowledge and skills, biomedical sciences and osteopathic principles and practices throughout the pre-doctoral education to advance RVUCOM students' professionalism, knowledge, skills and competencies to the level required for osteopathic graduate medical education.
  • Help develop and coordinate programs and resources to assist and promote faculty development and Oversee evaluations of adjunct clinical faculty.
  • Assure the advancement and integration of high standards for ethical and professional behavior in all aspects for RVUCOM and personnel.
  • Serve as an active participant on committees or task forces or other duties as assigned by the Dean.
