DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Intelligence Analyst Trainee, you will undergo both formal and practical training to gather and analyze intelligence from diverse sources, ultimately producing work products that aid law enforcement in anticipating, preventing, investigating, and monitoring criminal activities. Your responsibilities will evolve, allowing for greater independence as you gain experience. This role involves using computerized systems and software to research and organize investigative and intelligence data. You will collaborate with investigators to collect, evaluate, and analyze detailed reports concerning local, regional, state, and national security. Additionally, you will assist in researching and analyzing criminal intelligence related to individuals, businesses, groups, and activities, responding to requests for support in solving investigations, developing leads, or preparing for intelligence operations. - Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Will require rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $48,968.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a Top Secret Security Clearance issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or attainment of this clearance during the probationary period, and continual maintenance of this clearance during employment in the position. Failure to obtain and maintain FBI Secret Security Clearance will result in the employee's removal from the position. Removal may result in the termination of employment if other placement options are not available.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, homeland security, intelligence studies, or criminology.
- You must be willing to work onsite full-time. Teleworking is not an option as part of this position's work schedule.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Internship experience with a criminal justice agency
- Completion of a PACIC Analyst Tutorial within the last year
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
