DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position serves as an entry point into various technical career paths within the Department of Transportation. Employees in this role engage in technical tasks designed to build their skills and knowledge in fundamental areas such as traffic planning and control, materials sampling and testing, construction oversight, utility relocation, map creation, roadside inspections, roadway maintenance management, and materials control. Assignments are tailored to enhance practical experience in these fields, with work allocated based on individual capabilities and growth potential. While employees have limited autonomy, they operate within clearly defined tasks that adhere to established standards and methodologies. Supervision is provided by a technical supervisor who assigns projects, offers detailed initial guidance, and reviews work for quality and adherence to technical principles throughout the process. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license.
