Custodial Worker 1 - Torrance State Hospital

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will ensure examination and office rooms, patient rooms, laboratories, and public areas are kept clean and sanitary. You will clean windows, dust furniture, empty trash cans, and clean floors. You will also stock and distribute clean linens, clean washers and dryers, and complete daily work sheets. This role requires the ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and the desire to give the patients and employees a clean place to live and work. In addition, you will replace bathroom supplies and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid injury.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating weekends, approximately every 4th weekend, with days off during the week.
• Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime and travel as needed

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
